Picture of a Favorite Place

The "Whale Tail" located in Costa Rica, is a place I visited over the winter break. It is located in a town called, Uvita. This was one of the most extraordinary things I have seen, whenever it is high tide, the whole piece of land is covered and the waves collide with each other rather than going towards the shore. Extraordinary.

  1. Wow, I am just enchanged by the idea of a whale tail like this, Ollie! And it looks so cool from the air! Later in Indian Epics, you will learn about this really cool land bridge between India and Sri Lanka; according to the epic, Rama and his army of monkeys built the bridge... and even though it is submerged now, you can see it with satellite photography. If you are curious, here's an article about it: the Indians call it Rama Setu, the Bridge of Rama — but it is also called Adam's Bridge: Adam's Bridge

  2. This place looks awesome! Totally somewhere I would want to go. What was the temperature like? I went to Florida over the winter break. It was warmer than Norman but still about 57 degrees and I got in the water despite it being pretty cold. How the waves crash together sounds pretty cool. Something I will have to put in my travel book.
