Reading Diary Week 2
You were right Laura! I do really like this. It reminds me a lot of greek mythology. I will be honest, this is a little difficult to read. I haven't read in a while. I really like a story line of the Sons and how it talks about Rama. At first I thought the Avatar section would be like avatar the last air bender but it wasn't. I also like the love story between Rama and Sita. The imagery is also really awesome.

Aren't the images fantastic?! I esp. like the one you included here. I found that one at Flickr! For your storytelling, you could try the strategy of picking an image you really liked, and then using that to inspire your version of the story: for example, you could tell a story about Sita and Rama going into exile for which this would be the absolutely most perfect illustration, using the details and feelings you get from the image to build your story! Especially for the India class with all the great artwork, that is a really good storytelling strategy. If you pick a good image for your Reading Diary each time, then you will have something to get started when you do the storytelling post each week. :-)
